We would like to share the menu for our typical Thanksgiving Dinner with all of you. We've collected a bunch of our favorite dishes and brought them together in this annual feast. The highlight of our dinner is the very unique turkey that Brad prepares based on a recipe he found some years ago.
Blackened
Turkey
This is an unusual stuffed turkey recipe that Brad found many years
ago, and has since prepared every chance he can get. It's a delicious
(and fun) way to enjoy the Thanksgiving bird! Here is a link to
a copy of the recipe online: Blackened

Candied
Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes or candied yams make for a great sweet treat to compliment
some of the saltier foods on the menu, and they also add a splash
of color to the plate.
Green
Bean Casserole
A classic American comfort food--green beans and some cream
of mushroom soup (we like to use the kind with roasted garlic)--green
bean casserole is a staple, and fills the vegetable slot without
being too healthy!
Cranberry
Relish
Whether it's homemade cranberry-orange relish or the jellied stuff
from a can (or sometimes both), cranberries are a must have at Thanksgiving.
Vegetable/Dish
of the Year
Some years it may be Brad's special garlic mashed potatoes or ginger-honey
glazed carrots, other years it may be as simple as corn or spaghetti
squash. Its a fun way to change up the meal a bit and try out a
new recipe.
Bread
A large meal would not be complete without bread. We like
to serve fresh baked dinner rolls, but anything will do!
Dessert
A great way to finish of the meal is with a nice
slice of pumpkin or pecan pie (preferably one of each), a la mode,
of course.
